Orfeo Music Festival, formerly Schlern International Music Festival, is one of the premier European classical music festivals, and is set in majestic Dolomites region of the Alps. The festival offers its participants one of the most enriching and exciting creative and educational experiences available. It is set apart from other summer programs by its unique combination of presenting some of the best international classic music performers in concerts and opportunity for students to study with some of the finest musicians and participate in the intense concert schedule. This helps prepare students for the life of professional musician or simply lets them indulge for a short time into ultimate music making atmosphere. All students arrive to a fairy-tale Alpine surroundings to live, breath and sleep music for four weeks. The festival experience is highly personalized, inspirational and is intended to expand students’ professional confidence.
The festival presents about forty professional and student concerts in various locations of the Dolomites region of Europe. Professional concerts showcase outstanding performers of international repute. In addition to lessons and coachings, master classes are given by festival’s artists-in-residence and guest artists.
